Sand is the result of rock whose lashed by rain after weathering or roll down, its partical size is among 0.074`2mm.
Sand has many types,such as river sand, sea sand, metal sand, natural sand,etc. Sand is always include bits of soil, the soil content is limited by construction class. Sand is main materials of concrete and mortar,also, it is the bulk materials of civil engineering.
Sand can be divide into natural sand and artificial sand. According to the source of production, the natural sand can be divided into river sand, sea sand and hill sand.The hill sand has a bad quality,sea sand inculde too much salt.it has an impact on concrete and mortar, the river sand is clearner than the other sands, so it has a wide application.
The sand also can be divided into coarse sand, medium sand and fine sand according to their granularity.
We must need to do screening test to judge of sand grain size distribution by vibrating sifter.

Then we will get the two different results.

a. Know the cumulative percentage of triage of each vibrating screeners.

b. Fineness modulus.
